The University of Michigan-Dearborn Player of the Week is women’s soccer midfielder Gabriella Teems, it was announced Thursday.
Against Lordes University, the Wolverines fell 2-1, but competed hard in a close contest. Teems had the lone goal in the game for UM-Dearborn by drawing a foul inside the 18-yard box. She connected on the shot, giving the Wolverines an early lead.
Against Rochester University, Teems would once again give UM-Dearborn a first half lead, scoring in the 29th minute, as the Wolverines rolled to a 3-0 win on Senior Day. She was credited with the game winner and four shots on goal.
The Allen Park, Mich. native will look to take this momentum into next season as she’ll be relied upon to be an offensive threat.
