Grand Rapids, MI - Six women's cross country runners competed at the Calvin Invite in Grand Rapids Saturday morning. The team finished in 25th place. Fellow WHAC school Aquinas won the meet. Freshman Caroline Mahalak was the Wolverines top finisher. She finished the 5K event with a time of 21:08.0 putting her in 121st place. Sophomore Emily Eccleton finished with a time of 21:55.1 while senior Megan McDonald had a time of 22:43.5. Freshman Kaylee Kozlowski ran in 23:37.8 and senior Mallory Nemeth finished with a time of 23:44.2. Freshman Emily Rader competed in her first collegiate race with a time of 24:04.8. The race featured 319 runners and many WHAC schools in addition to Aquinas, Madonna, Cornerstone, Siena Heights, Indiana Tech, Davenport, and Lawrence Tech all competed in the race. The women's cross country team will compete in the Spartan Invitational in East Lansing on Friday, September 18th at 11:45am.
