Grand Rapids, MI - The women's cross country team had four runners compete at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge Invitational on Saturday. The race took place at Gracewolf Golf Course in Grand Rapids, MI. The team was down to four runners due to illness of some of the team members. Sophomore Emily Eccleton led the way for the Wolverines as she finished the 5K event with a time of 22:45.86. Senior Megan McDonald was right behind Eccleton with a time 22:50.76, which is seven seconds faster than her personal best this season. Senior Mallory Nemeth crossed the finish line with a time of 23:07.69 and right behind her was freshman Kaylee Kozlowski with a time of 23:11.34. The women's cross country team has two weeks to heal as the WHAC Championships will be held on Saturday, November 7th at Riverside Park in Grand Rapids. The women will be running at 11:00am.
