Beverly Hills, MI - The men's lacrosse team hosted the Indiana Tech Warriors on Friday night in a WHAC match-up. Indiana Tech started out quickly scoring one minute and twenty seconds into the game. Michigan-Dearborn's Matthew Rosteck responded three minutes later with a goal of his own. The Warriors then rattled off four consecutive goals. Wolverines freshman Brendan Salva scored his first goal of the night with just five seconds left in the first quarter making the score 5-2.
Salva would score early in the second quarter to pull Michigan-Dearborn within two goals. Indiana Tech would again score four consecutive goals to take a 9-3 lead. The Wolverines would score four of the next five goals of the game making the score 10-7 at halftime. Michigan-Dearborn would pull within two of the lead in the third quarter until Indiana Tech scored eight straight goals in winning 19-10.
Salva led Michigan-Dearborn with five goals while Hannibal Roda scored three goals. In his first ever start at goalie, Andrew Popp made 22 saves. The lacrosse team will next host Grove City College on Friday, March 18th at 8:00pm at Birmingham Groves High School.
