Dayton, OH - The men's lacrosse team took on the 5th ranked University of Dayton Flyers in Dayton, Ohio on Sunday. The Flyers, who were ranked # 1 until a loss last week, started out strong building a 4-1 lead after the first quarter. Michigan-Dearborn (2-7, 0-4) trimmed the deficit a little bit to 7-3 at halftime. In the second half, it was all Dayton. The Flyers scored two goals in the third quarter and five goals in the fourth quarter while limiting the Wolverines to just five shots on goal for the game. Dayton won the game 14-3.
Donald Roda (JR/Harrison Township, MI) scored two goals, while Matthew Rosteck (SO/Commerce Township, MI) got the other goal for Michigan-Dearborn. David Stephanoff (SR/Chesterfield, MI) made 19 saves in the loss. The lacrosse team will next host the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils on Wednesday at 8:00pm at Detroit Country Day Fieldhouse.
