Grand Rapids, MI - The women's cross country team started the season by running in the Calvin Knight Invitational in Grand Rapids. Michigan-Dearborn finished 13th overall in the race. Megan Seccombe (JR/Dearborn, MI) led the Wolverines with a time of 20:53 in the 5K race. Right behind her was Kayla Dela Cruz (FR/Canton, MI) with a time of 21:11. Catherine Miller (JR/Trenton, MI) was just five seconds behind Cruz finishing in 66th place with a time of 21:16. Rounding out the Wolverines runners were Emily Eccleton (JR/Allen Park, MI) (22:25), Alyssa Harlow (FR/Wyandotte, MI) (22:39), and Kaylee Kozlowski (SO/Riverview, MI) (24:39). Michigan-Dearborn's 13th place finish put them right behind fellow WHAC schools Concordia University and Davenport University. The women's cross country team's next meet will be Saturday, September 10th, at the Titan Invitational held at CassBenton Park in Northville.
