HOWELL, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's soccer team were unable to overcome a two-goal deficit in loss to Cleary University Tuesday in Howell, Mich.
The Cougars scored off a rebound in the first minute to put the Wolverines in an early hole, while another Cleary shot crossed the line shortly after the half. UMD cut the Cougar lead in half with a late tally, but fell 2-1 to drop to 2-2 on the season.
UMD was held in the game by goalkeeper Dylon Da Silva, who made seven saves in the loss. The Wolverines were outshot 19-10. The Cleary goals were both scored by Noah Schneider.
The Wolverines open Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference play against Marygrove College at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Legacy Center in Brighton, Mich.
