Hockey Opens Up Playoffs Against Western Michigan

The first ever Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League (GLCHL) playoffs kick off this Friday when the Wolves take on the Stallions of Western Michigan at 4:30pm at the Peak in Romulus. Michigan-Dearborn is the fifth seed in the tournament while Western Michigan is the fourth seed. The winner of the game will either take on top seeded Adrian College or second seeded Davenport University.The Wolves went 1-3 in the regular season against Western Michigan. The teams squared off two weeks ago in Dearborn and split the weekend series. This is the first playoffs for the newly formed GLCHL, which has all Michigan schools in the conference. In Friday's other game, three seeded Oakland University takes on tournament host and sixth seeded Eastern Michigan University.
