LANSING, Mich. - The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Lansing Invitational hosted by Lansing Community College Friday at Grand Woods Park in Lansing, Mich.
The Wolverine women finished eighth out of 15 teams, while the men took 10th out of 17 as UM-Dearborn continues to build towards the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Championships later this season.
The women were led by Megan Seccombe (JR/Dearborn, MI) with a finish of 28th. She crossed the line in a time of 20 minutes, 25.3 seconds. Kayla Dela Cruz (FR/Canton, MI) placed 48th with a time of 21:11.3, while Catherine Miller (JR/Trenton, MI) took 68th in 21:49.7. Emily Rader (SR/Wyandotte, MI) was 78th at a time of 22:17.0 and Caroline Mahalak (SO/Westland, MI) added a 102st place showing in 23:02.2.
On the men's side, Alex Krasuski was the top Wolverine with a 42nd-place finish in a time of 28.:15.0, while Ryan Pickell crossed 59th in 28:51.0. Moad Yaseen was 65th with a time of 28:59.9 and Sean Fisher and Sean Nowak took 71st and 78th, respectively.
The Wolverines compete next at the Jayhawk Invitational hosted by Muskegon Community College Friday in Muskegon, Mich.
