Dearborn, MI-- The Men's Basketball team has added more depth to its roster. Charles Baskin of East Detroit High School and Khalil Beidoun of Dearborn High School are the newest additions to the Wolves roster. Coach Mackson likes the way his team is starting to take shape. "We feel there are two areas of concern which we needed to address; toughness and the ability to knock down the open jump shot," Mackson said. He continued, "We feel like these signings make sense for us in addressing those areas of need."
"Charles is a guy who can fill it up," Mackson added. Baskin averaged 16 points per game last season for East Detroit High School and helped lead the school to a 23-3 record and a Class A Regional Championship. He was a First Team All Conference selection in the Blue Division of the Macomb Area Conference. He was an Honorable Mention All East selection by the Detroit Free Press, and was selected as an Honorable Mention All-State by the Detroit News. Charles is the son of LaShawnda Baskin and Charles Sims of Detroit.
Khalil Beidoun will add a physical presence to the line-up. He comes to the Wolves from Dearborn High School where he averaged 19 points and 9 rebounds per game his senior year. His team won 14 games his senior year. He was an All Conference performer in the Western Wayne Blue Division. "Khalil is a really scrappy player, he likes to get in there and mix it up with guys a little bigger than him," Mackson said. Khalil is the son of Ibrahim and Nasra Beidoun of Dearborn.
