Dearborn, MI - Shooting woes have plagued the men's basketball team early this season, however, it was shooting that got the team their third win in four games on Saturday afternoon.  The Wolverines knocked off conference foe Marygrove College 86-81 behind strong shooting, 53% for the game, by far the team's best shooting performance of the season.  Michigan-Dearborn (4-8, 2-4) also shot 43% from behind the three-point arc and held Marygrove (1-9, 0-6) to 43% shooting from the field for the game.

Dearborn, MI - The most important time to have the lead is when the final horn sounds.  The men's basketball team proved that Monday night as the Wolverines defeated the Adrian College Bulldogs 52-50 and only had the the lead for about 31 seconds in the entire game.  In the first half Adrian College (2-2) controlled the game and at one point led by 11 points.  Michigan-Dearborn (3-7, 1-3) fought back to pull within seven points, 23-16, at halftime.  The Wolverines shot just 22% from the field in the first half, but luckily for them, there was still twenty minutes left to play.  

Tue, Dec. 2, 2014 - [Ice Hockey]

Dearborn, MI - The hockey team won its first ever Great Lakes Hockey Tournament on Sunday night with a 3-0 win over Sagniaw Valley State University.  After two high scoring wins (8-2, 8-4), defense was on display Sunday night.  After a scoreless first period, sophomore Michael Payne scored midway through the second period to give the tournament host a 1-0.  Michigan-Dearborn kept the pressure on Saginaw Valley peppering goalie Garrett Chronawski with 19 shots on goal in the second period.  Even with the 19 shots, the Wolverines would only score one goal in the period.
