Lawrence, KS - Freshman Julia Kassem from the women's cross country team made the trip to Lawrence, Kansas for the NAIA National Championships. Kassem was part of the over 100 individual runners who qualified as well as the over 200 runners who were part of teams who qualified for National Championship. In all, 319 female runners competed in the 5K event.
Freshman women's cross country runner Julia Kassem qualified for the 2013 NAIA Women's Cross Country National Championships which will be held on Saturday, November 23rd in Lawrence, Kansas. Kassem led the Wolverines all season long with her fast times in each race. At the WHAC Champnioship on Saturday November 9th, Kassem finished in 11th place overall, which was good enough to qualify for the National Tournament.
Grand Rapids, MI - The WHAC Cross Country Championship was held Saturday morning in Grand Rapids, MI. The meet featured all 10 WHAC schools that have cross country as a varsity sport. The Wolverines ran hard as this would be their final competition of the season. The men's team finished in 7th place while the women's team finished in 8th place.
