The men's soccer team, winners of their last two games of the season, earned some post-season honors on Thursday. Eight Michigan-Dearborn soccer players were named to the WHAC All-Academic Team. In order to be on the All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be at least a junior in academic standing and have a minumum cumulative grade point average of 3.25. The eight players are Brody Hall, Zack Lefevre, Michael Masserant, Chris Porreca, Nick Schultz, Nate Szymkowicz, Alek Vasilevski, and Kosai Zaya. All of those players will be returning next season except for senior Nate Szymkowicz.
Brighton, MI - The men's soccer team was looking for a win to get into the WHAC playoffs. The Wolverines needed a win plus a Cornerstone tie or loss to be eighth seed in the WHAC Tournament. With both games starting at 7:00pm, it was sure to be an exciting night.
Brighton, MI - Two wins in their last two games of the season and the men's soccer team has a chance to qualify for the WHAC Tournament beginning on Saturday November 8th. The Wolverines got the first win on Wednesday night as they defeated the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils 2-0. Junior goalie Andrew Pietrzak made seven saves in the game earning his first shutout of the season.
