Lima, OH - Making their debut in the WHAC Soccer Tournament, the men's soccer team hoped to make some noise in the tournament. Unfortunately, the University of Northwestern Ohio Racers had other ideas. The Racers would score two goals in the first half and four in the second half to cruise to a 6-0 victory and advance in the WHAC Men's Soccer Tournament.
The men's soccer will travel to Lima, Ohio on Saturday to take on the University of Northwestern Ohio Racers in the first round of the WHAC playoffs. The two teams will square off at 2:00pm on Saturday, November 9th. The Racers finished second in the WHAC at 7-2-1 while the Wolverines finished in seventh place at 3-5-2. The top eight teams qualify for playoffs. Davenport University won the regular season title finishing a perfect 10-0 in the WHAC.
Adrian, MI - The men's soccer team needs a couple wins down the stretch in order to qualify for the WHAC Tournament. The top-eight teams in the conference qualify for the tournament. Heading into Wednesday night the Wolverines were 2-4 in the WHAC putting them in tenth place. One win, however, moves them up dramatically as four teams are log jammed with 3 conference wins including Wednesday night's opponent the Siena Heights University Saints. The two teams battled it out Wednesday night in Adrian and fought to a 0-0 tie in double overtime.
