Craig Cotter is entering his second year as an assistant coach for the UM-Dearborn baseball program with more than a decade of coaching experience at various levels in the southeast Michigan region.
Cotter, a native of Dearborn, is the owner of the Michigan Strategy Baseball Academy established in 2012 and has been the head coach of the Livonia Clarenceville High School varsity baseball team since 2014, leading the Trojans to two league championships and a Regional title, a first for the program. The team reached the state quarterfinals in 2018.
He is also a site director for the US Baseball Academy, an instructor with the Crossroads Baseball Showcase Series and led the USA Team Detroit 15U team to a goal medal at the 2013 International Children's Games. Cotter is a member of the American Baseball Coaches Association.
Cotter currently resides in Dearborn with his wife Shawn and has three grown children.
