LIVONIA, Mich.— The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's basketball team returned to action against the Madonna University Crusaders Wednesday night in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup.
The Wolverines offense was cold in the first half and found themselves down big at the half to Madonna. Despite shooting 45 percent from the field and behind the arch in the second half, the Madonna lead was too much to overcome as UM-Dearborn fell 108-61.
The Crusaders had five players in double-digits, led by the duo of Mark Mettie (23 points, 11 rebounds) and Brendan Young (21 points, five rebounds, four assists).
The loss drops UM-Dearborn to 3-17 overall and 1-13 in the WHAC.
The Wolverines return to action against the Aquinas College Saints at 3 PM Saturday at Sturrus Sports and Fitness Center in Grand Rapids, Mich.
