UM-Dearborn drops WHAC contest to LTU

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's soccer team played a home Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference contest at Lawrence Tech University Athletic Field against the Blue Devils Saturday in Southfield, Mich.

The Wolverines allowed early goals in each half and could not break through on offense, falling to the Blue Devils 3-0. The loss drops UM-Dearborn to 3-8 overall and 1-6 in the WHAC as the team continues its regular-season stretch run.

Nico Rbp continued to lead the Blue Devil offense, as he has all season, scoring two goals and adding an assist, while Pablo Ripodas added a goal. LTU outshot the Wolverines 15-5, as UM-Dearborn goalkeeper Tristan Johnson (FR/Taylor, MI) made five saves in the loss.

The Wolverines had plenty of chances to score, including a Richard Hodnicki (JR/Southgate, MI) header off the post early in the first half. Hodnicki registered three shots on goal to lead UM-Dearborn in chances.

UM-Dearborn plays its next three on the road, starting with Madonna University, which is receiving votes in the NAIA Coaches Poll, at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Livonia, Mich.
