The Wolverines were led by Jeorgia Jones (FR/Detroit, MI) and Emily Heinrich (SO/South Lyon, MI), who each scored 13 points in the win. UM-Dearborn disrupted the Golden Eagle offense, forcing 19 turnovers and coming away with 11 steals, including three each for Jones and Meredith Williams (JR/Novi, Mich.). The Wolverines were also efficient on offense, finishing with 17 assists as a team. The win was the first for UM-Dearborn over Cornerstone since February 2013. The Wolverines headed to Livonia for a matchup with Madonna University on Saturday in the final road game of the season. Despite a career-high 18 points from Heinrich, the Crusaders topped UM-Dearborn 88-60. The Wolverines close the 2016-17 season this week with a pair of home games, starting with the University of Northwestern Ohio at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. UM-Dearborn welcomes Aquinas College to the Fieldhouse on Saturday for Parent's Day at 1 p.m., as the Wolverine women's basketball team will honor all parents in a ceremony prior to tip off with the Saints.

The Wolverines fell to UNOH earlier this season in Lima, Ohio. UM-Dearborn found itself within one point on several occasions in the fourth quarter, but the Racers held on for a 67-64 win. The Wolverines last win against UNOH came in January 2013.

UM-Dearborn and Aquinas were tied at the break in a game earlier this season in Grand Rapids, but the Saints pulled away in the second half for a 74-41 win. The Wolverines closed the 2015-16 season with a win over the Saints at the Fieldhouse and will try to duplicate that effort on Saturday.
