SYLVANIA, Ohio- The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's soccer team returned to action traveling to take on the Lourdes University Gray Wolves in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup.
Two overtimes wasn't enough to a decided a winner between the Wolverines and the Gray Wolves, ending in a 1-1 draw.
Rena Arabi opened the scoring with her the first of her career, coming in the 33rd minute off of a pass from Emmi Pinkowski. However, the Wolverines lead would be short lived. Lourdes responded just 61 seconds later when Annah Zacerkowny connected with a header off of a corner kick by McKenzie Klingensmit to tie the game. The Gray Wolves fired 10 shots on goal in the second half and overtime combined, however Amber Festian kept UM-Dearborn in the game, making 10 saves in the game. The draw moves the Wolverines record to 1-3-1 overall and 0-2-1 in the WHAC.
UM-Dearborn returns to action against Siena Heights University at 7 pm Wednesday, October 6th at O'Laughlin Stadium in Adrian, Mich.
