Ryan Pickell is entering his third season as a cross country assistant coach after a successful career with the Wolverines from 2013-2016.

Pickell closed his career competing at UM-Dearborn in 2016 as one of the top runners in program history. He set the school record for an 8k race with a time of 26:44 in 2016. Pickell was named a team captain as a senior, a WHAC Champions of Character Team member in 2016 and was awarded team MVP honors in 2014 and 2016.

Pickell was the President of the UM-Dearborn Student-Athlete Advisory Council in 2016-17 and was the Vice President in 2015-16. 

Pickell previously served as an assistant with the Riverview Community High School varsity swimming and diving team, while finishing his last semester of classes at UM-Dearborn. He graduated in December 2017 with a Bachelor's of Science in Digital Forensics.
