Bio
Langley is entering his sixth season as the head coach of the University of Michigan-Dearborn men's basketball team.
Under Langley, the Wolverines finished with a record of 11-20 in the 2018-19 season. UM-Dearborn garnered two All-Academic selections in Mahdi Hamade and Jared Jackson. Guard Zach Lattimer was named to the WHAC All-Freshmen team. The team made the WHAC tournament for the third straight season, with the 2018-19 season being highlighted by home victories against Indiana Tech and Cornerstone.
Coach Langley was nominated as the UM-Dearborn Coach of the Year in 2017-18 and had a National tournament appearance where the team fell short in overtime against St.Thomas in the opening round.
Prior to joining UM-Dearborn, Langley served as an assistant coach at Davenport University, also a member of the WHAC. The Panthers were 117-25 in the four years Langley was on the staff at DU, with three trips to the NAIA quarterfinals and one to the national semifinal. He helped recruit 11 NAIA All-Americans, one national player of the year and a Bevo Francis Award winner.
Langley also serves as the coordinator of the UM-Dearborn Fieldhouse Wellness Center.
Langley played his college basketball at Macomb College, where he started as a walk-on and finished his career with a scholarship and was named a team captain.
