FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's basketball team hit the road to take on No. 14 Indiana Tech in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup Tuesday in Fort Wayne, Ind.
Indiana Tech took control of the contest early and pulled away for a 79-45 win, dropping the Wolverines to 4-6 overall and 0-3 in the WHAC.
UM-Dearborn was led by Sade Lemons (SO/Sterling Heights, MI), who came off the bench to score a team-high 17 points on 6-of-14 shooting, while pulling down seven rebounds. Sophomore Jeorgia Jones (SO/Detroit, MI) added eight points and six rebounds, while senior Meredith Williams (SR/Novi, Mich.) finished with three assists.
The Wolverines shot 17-of-54 from the field, 3-of-20 from deep and 8-of-12 from the line, while getting outrebounded 39-37.
Keanna Gary led the Warriors with 22 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double, while Haley Cook added 18 points and nine rebounds.
The Wolverines continue WHAC action against Concordia University at 1 pm Saturday in Ann Arbor, Mich.
