Bio
Bobby Samples is in his first year as an assistant coach for the women's basketball team.
Samples comes to Dearborn after an extensive playing career at Kalamazoo College (NCAA D3) and Guilford College (NCAA D3). While pursuing a Master's degree at Guilford, Samples was named to the ODAC All-Academic team in 2024-25. Upon graduation, Samples received his Master's in Business Administration from Guilford.
While at Kalamazoo College, Samples a four-year letter winner for the Hornets. Samples was a three-time captain and played in 60 games and made 48 starts under Head Coach Nick Giard. Samples finished his KC career amassing 1,580 minutes played and scored 309 points (5.2 ppg) in his career. Samples was a four-year representative for the KC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
Before KC, Samples earned three Varsity letters in basketball and four in golf at Howell High School. Samples was named All-Region Third Team, one-time All-Conference First Team in basketball.
Samples is the son of Tracy & Ken Samples.
