MUSKEGON, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn cross country program was back in action at the Jayhawk Invitational hosted by Muskegon Community College in Muskegon, Mich.
The Wolverine men competed in the 8K race, placing 5th out of 20 ranked schools. The Wolverine women participated in the 5K race and were 5th out of 19 ranked schools.
Leading the way for the men once again was Ryan Exell, who after becoming the first Wolverine to ever break the 26-minute mark in the 8K race last week, broke the school record for the second consecutive event. He finished 20th with a final time of 25:20.25.
For the women, Victoria Hebda led the way, finishing the 5K in 33rd place at 19:25.47. Julia Cercone was next at 19:51.03 and Rebecca Bradsher at 20:18.69.
The Wolverines return to action next at the Great Lakes Invitational on Saturday Oct. 20 in Grand Rapids, Mich.
