Racers hand Wolverines tough road loss

LIMA, Ohio. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's soccer team returned to action Wednesday night, traveling out to Lima, Ohio, to take on the (RV) University of Northwestern Ohio Racers in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference match-up. 

UNOH would take control early, finding the back of the net three times in the first half, on its way to an 8-0 victory of the Wolverines. Leading the Racers was Ariana Mondiri with four goals and one assist, while Patricia Gomez Nogue would add four assists of her own. 

Amber Festian got the start in goal, making four saves in 70 minutes of play. Lisa Kohler would play the final 20 minutes, recording one save.

The loss drops UM-Dearborn to 1-8-1 overall and 0-7-1 in the WHAC.

The Wolverines return to action against Rochester University at 7pm Wednesday at Michigan Stars Sports Center in Macomb County, Mich.
