SYLVANIA, Ohio. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn (10-10, 6-3) volleyball team had three girls with 13 kills in a 3-1 victory over Lourdes (7-10, 3-7) on Saturday (Oct. 1) inside the Ebeid Rec Center.
Sydney Eggleton, Regan Sliwinski, and Kielee Tondryk all had 13 kills, with Sliwinski and Eggleton swinging above .450. The Wolverines had a .273 kill percentage as a team and a season-high .423 kill percentage in the third set. The Wolverines had eight total blocks as a team, with Allie Federlein leading the way with 2.5. Regan Rose tallied 43 assists, and Kenzie Mertz had a game-high 17 digs in the Wolverine Win.
The Wolverines fell short in the second set but collected themselves and claimed the final two sets to win their sixth conference matchup of the 2022 season. The Wolverines closed the third set on a 10-3 run after being tied 14-14. After jumping out to a 4-1 lead in the final set, the Wolverines would not relinquish their lead as the Gray Wolves made one last push to upend the Wolverines.
The Maize & Blue have won seven out of their last nine to get back to .500 on the season.
