DETROIT, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn (2-20, 2-9) baseball team struggled on the mound in a doubleheader defeat against Siena Heights (5-20, 3-10) on Thursday (Apr. 6) at Harwell-Spicer Field on the campus of Wayne State University. The Saints took game one 24-6, and 11-3 in game two.
The Wolverine table setters went a combined 6-11 with a pair of RBIs in game one. Mark Schaaf gave the Wolverines one of the lone bright spots as he sent a towering blast over the left field fence. Matthew Williams and Nathaniel Wandrie each added an extra-base hit in the game-one loss.
Max McClennan added a pair of doubles for the Wolverines in game two, but the Wolverine pitching staff struggled all afternoon, giving up a combined 35 runs in two games.
