UPLAND, Ind. -- The University of Michigan-Dearborn lacrosse team traveled to Indiana on Wednesday (Apr. 17) for afternoon lacrosse at Wheeler Field. The Wolverines took on the Taylor Trojans in their penultimate game. After a late surge in the fourth quarter from UM-Dearborn, the Trojans closed out the win in a 10-7 contest.
In the first quarter, both teams scored two goals each, with UM-Dearborn's Mason Loudermilk scoring on the man-up advantage and Nolan Kelley scoring with 6:40 to play in the opening quarter. Taylor dominated the second quarter, scoring four unanswered goals to take a 6-2 lead into halftime.
In the third quarter, Michigan-Dearborn scored only one goal; Nolan Kelley scored an unassisted goal at 9:18 to make it 7-3 Trojans. Taylor added one to end the third to take an 8-3 lead.
The Wolverines came to life in the fourth, scoring four goals. Taylor also scored twice, putting the game to bed in a 10-7 loss for the Wolverines.
