DEARBORN, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn (1-3) women's basketball team welcomed one of the top teams in the NAIA to the Fieldhouse on Saturday (Nov. 11). The Indiana South Bend Titans (5-0) defeated the Wolverines 98-50.
Emily Grulke had her best game in the Maize & Blue, scoring a season-high 16 points on 4-of-10 shooting from the field. Grulke connected on eight of her 11 free throws in the contest while hauling six rebounds and tallying a staggering four blocks.
Sydney Dixon tallied seven rebounds and dished out two assists in 32 minutes of work. As a team, the Wolverines shot 29.6% from the floor and 12% from behind the arc as the Wolverines struggled to shoot on the afternoon. The Wolverine defense forced 21 turnovers in the contest.
UM-Dearborn takes on Lourdes on Saturday (Nov. 18) at 1 pm in the WHAC opener.
