DEARBORN, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn (1-8) women's basketball team dropped a non-conference matchup at The Fieldhouse on Wednesday (Dec. 6) against the Indiana East Red Wolves (4-3). The Red Wolves won 91-55.
Maya Barakat was the only Wolverine in double digits as she scored 23 of UM-Dearborn's 55 points. Barakat shot 7-of-13 from the field and was 9-of-11 from the charity stripe. Barakat finished one rebound shy of a double double. Emily Grulke led the Wolverines in rebounds with 14 and added six points. Shayla Bond scored nine points in 20 minutes of work off the bench.
The Red Wolves forced the Wolverines into 23 turnovers, scoring 29 points in the process. IU East outscored the Wolverines 62-36 in the paint and outrebounded the Wolverines 56-35.
