Noah Carmona and Henna Mahmood headline the inaugural Allstate NACDA Good Works Team.
NORTHBROOK, Ill. – Allstate and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) have announced the first-ever Allstate NACDA Good Works Team (Fall), recognizing 20 student-athletes for their dedication to leadership, service and community impact. Noah Carmona of men's soccer and Henna Mahmoud of women's soccer headlined the inaugural list.
Carmona, a sophomore on the men's soccer team, is dedicated to improving access to affordable healthcare and advocating for the physical and mental well-being of others. On campus, he is a founding member of the Pre-Surgeons Club at UM-Dearborn, serving as social media chair and incoming Vice President, where he helps organize educational events for students pursuing surgical careers. He has also volunteered with the Salvation Army, Gleaners, and Eternal Light, and plans to serve in clinical settings, such as elderly care homes and hospitals, to connect his medical interests with meaningful service.
Mahmood volunteers at the Eternal Light Food Pantry in Dearborn Heights every week. There, Henna helps with distributing groceries and meals to local families in need. As a Bengali American student, she supports the Foundation for Charitable Activities in Bangladesh (FCAB) through data entry and website development, thereby bridging her cultural identity with service. She is currently helping to build an eye hospital in rural Bangladesh, providing critical vision care, including cataract surgeries, to underserved communities. As a soccer coach with Wolves Hype, Henna brings accessible and affordable soccer opportunities to families in Dearborn Heights, creating new pathways for young players.
