DEARBORN, Mich. — University of Michigan-Dearborn senior golfer Sean Casey has been named to the Allstate NACDA Good Works Team (Spring), recognizing his exceptional commitment to community service, academic excellence, and leadership. Casey was one of just 20 student-athletes selected nationwide across all four collegiate divisions, placing him among an elite group dedicated to making a meaningful impact beyond athletics.
Casey's service work is highlighted by his involvement with Detroit's Cabrini Clinic, where he volunteers to assist in delivering medical care to uninsured Hispanic patients. Fluent in Spanish and aspiring to pursue a career in medicine, Casey plays a vital role in bridging communication gaps and ensuring patients are treated with compassion, respect, and dignity.
In addition to his service efforts, Casey has distinguished himself academically as a consistent Dean's List honoree and leader within the classroom. His academic accolades include recognition as an NAIA Scholar-Athlete and a member of the WHAC All-Academic Team. In 2025, he was further honored with the Dearborn Difference Maker Award and the Daniel E. Little Civic Engagement and Community Service Award, underscoring his dedication to both academic and community excellence.
