Cotter Named Head Baseball Coach
Craig Cotter was appointed Head Coach of the UM-Dearborn baseball team on Monday (Aug 8).
DEARBORN, Mich.-- The University of Michigan-Dearborn and Interim Director of Athletics Bryan Earl announced Craig Cotter as the Wolverines next baseball coach. The school announced on Monday (Aug 8).
Cotter's appointment comes after serving as the interim head coach this past season after Matt Cunningham's departure. Cotter brings more than 15 years of high school and collegiate coaching experience to the Wolverine baseball program. In addition, the Holland, Mich. native is the Michigan Strategy Baseball Academy owner, which he established in 2012.
Cotter served as the head varsity baseball coach for Livonia Clarenceville High School from 2014-2018. During that time, Cotter led the Trojans to 2 league championships, 2 District championships, a Regional Championship, and a Regional title, a first for the program.
Cotter currently resides in Dearborn with his wife Shawn and has three grown children and a grandchild.
