DEARBORN, Mich. - With the first Wolverine-Athletic Conference postseason tournament game since 2010-11 on deck, the University of Michigan-Dearborn men's basketball team held on for a win over Aquinas College in the 2016-17 regular season finale on Senior Day Saturday at the UM-Dearborn Fieldhouse.
In the final regular season game at the Fieldhouse for two Wolverine seniors, UM-Dearborn outscored the Saints by seven in the second half, hitting enough big shots down the stretch to pick up a 75-70 win. The Wolverines close the regular season 19-11 overall and 13-9 in the WHAC. UM-Dearborn enters the WHAC postseason tournament as the No. 5 seed and will travel to the University of Northwestern Ohio for the first round on Thursday.
