Guobis Leads Wolverines at WHAC Championships Finale
Kristin Guobis secured a top ten finish at the WHAC Championships.
YORKTOWN, Ind. -- The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's golf team wrapped up competition at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Championships with a steady final round performance, highlighted by Kristen Guobis' consistent play across all three rounds of the tournament.
Guobis paced UM-Dearborn throughout the event, closing with an 83 (+11) in round three after earlier rounds of 85 (+13) and 86 (+14). Her three-round total of 254 (+38) led the Wolverines and showcased her stability, as she posted three rounds in the mid-80s.
Megan Rogers followed closely behind, finishing the tournament with a 259 (+43) total. Rogers opened strong with an 84 (+12) in round one and added rounds of 88 (+16) and 87 (+15) to cap her tournament.
Kaitlyn Creps delivered a balanced showing, carding rounds of 87 (+15), 96 (+24), and 85 (+13) to finish at 268 (+52). Her final round 85 marked one of the Wolverines' strongest scores of the tournament.
Cadence Pero recorded identical scores of 94 (+22) in both the second and third rounds after opening with an 89 (+17), finishing with a 277 (+61) total. Andi Evers rounded out the lineup, improving significantly after her opening round, finishing with scores of 106 (+34), 93 (+21), and 100 (+28) for a 299 (+83) total.
As a team, the Wolverines demonstrated resilience over the three-day tournament, with multiple golfers improving or maintaining consistency in the final round.
