Dearborn, Mich. - The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's ice hockey team lost today, Friday (Oct. 4), by a final score of 2-0 against Maryville University. The new Wolverines were faced with a tough match-up today, and they look to bounce back tomorrow in game two of the two-game series.
The Wolverines held firm for most of the game, as the score was tied 0-0 heading into the third period. However, the Wolverines fell just short in today's matchup, giving up a goal early in the third period. They were still fighting to get back into it, firing off shot after shot, but Maryville found another, giving them a two-goal lead halfway through the third.
The Wolverines are back in action Saturday (Oct. 5) in game two of the two-game series against Maryville University.
