The University of Michigan-Dearborn Athletic Department announced the hiring of Grant Mackenzie as their first wrestling head coach. Mackenzie has spent the last 11 years as the assistant coach at Allen Park High School. At Allen Park, Mackenzie helped coach 20 state qualifiers, 6 state finalists, and 1 state champion.
The wrestling team is a club team that will be a part of the National Collegiate Wrestling Association (NWCA) and will look to participate in various local meets throughout the season.
