WHAC Preview: Day One
The Wolverines played 36 holes today.
AUGUSTA, Mich.--The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's golf team wrapped up day one at the WHAC Preview with UNOH taking control of the leaderboard from start to finish.
UNOH's Jaiden Pass earned medalist honors, finishing at 2-under par (69-71) to claim the individual title by three strokes. Teammate Guillermo Garron secured second at +1 (71-72), while Martin Wing of Lawrence Tech surged on day two with a 70 to tie for third at +2 alongside Northwest Ohio's Oliver Rogers.
The Racers showcased their depth, placing four golfers inside the top five and five inside the top six. Luke S. Turner (+3) and Kyle Sutton (+4) followed closely behind, sealing Northwest Ohio's dominance in the field.
For the Wolverines, Luke Richter led the way, carding rounds of 84 and 77 to finish at +19 and 48th overall. Tyler Toth posted the team's best single round with a strong 75 on day two, closing at +25. Cameron Grant (+27), Jason Cuppari (+30), and Sean Casey (+87) rounded out the UM-Dearborn lineup.
The Wolverines will tee off again tomorrow on the final day.
