Wolverines Wrap Up Midwest Collegiate Championships

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- The University of Michigan-Dearborn bowling team showcased steady improvement and resilience in their latest tournament appearance, led by standout performances from several Wolverines.
Freshman Tyler Kiroski paced UM-Dearborn with an impressive 1,000 total pinfall over five games, averaging an even 200. His third game of 278 was one of the day's top individual rounds, helping him secure a top-60 finish in a field stacked with national contenders. Close behind was Nathan Roberts, who rolled a consistent series highlighted by a 220 in Game 3, finishing with 987 pins and a 197.4 average.
Avery North added depth to the Wolverines' effort, tallying 919 pins (183.8 average) across five games, while Charles McSwain contributed a four-game total of 757, averaging 189.2. The team's strong middle-game performances kept them competitive throughout the event.
On the JV side, Philip Narumi led with 802 pins, followed by Clark Friese with 699, showing promising development from UM-Dearborn's younger bowlers.
On the women's side, Junior Makenzee Barthlow paced the lineup with an impressive 849 total pinfall across five games, averaging 169.8. Barthlow finished strong with back-to-back games of 205 and 201, marking the team's top two scores of the day and setting the tone for UM-Dearborn's best stretch of the tournament.
Behind her, Justine Moore provided steady production, rolling 794 pins and averaging 158.8 per game. Moore's opening 184 anchored an early push that helped keep the Wolverines competitive in team standings. Madison Esterline added another solid outing with 744 total pins (148.8 average), highlighted by a 187 in Game 3 — one of the day's key performances.
Freshman Alexandra Dasuqi chipped in 659 pins over five games, averaging 131.8, while Lilliana Matatov contributed 518 across four games (129.5 average) before sitting out the final round.
