Day One Complete at ITC Sectionals
Tommy Bain finished 12th and Mackenzee Barthlow finished 22nd at the ITC Sectionals.
ADDISON, Ill. -- The University of Michigan-Dearborn bowling teams completed Day One at the ITC Sectionals at Stardust Bowl.
In the men's competition, Tommy Bain led the Wolverines with a 12th-place finish after rolling a six-game series of 1278.
Nathan Roberts was 29th, finishing with a six-game total of 1,238. Roberts delivered one of the strongest performances of the weekend for the Wolverines, highlighted by a 240 in game six and a 231 in game two.
Avery North also produced a solid showing with a 1,128 total, posting his best game of 223 in the fourth frame of the block.
Joshua Schunemann added a 1,077 series for Michigan-Dearborn, opening his set with back-to-back games of 214 and 212 to pace the early portion of the competition.
Kejuan Mathews recorded a 1,069 total across his six games, highlighted by a 202 in game two and a 201 in the final game of the block.
Charles McSwain rounded out the Wolverine lineup with a 1,063 total, delivering a 210 performance in the third game and a 190 in the sixth.
Women's Bowling
On the women's side, Makenzee Barthlow paced Michigan-Dearborn with a 1,172 total. Barthlow closed the event in strong fashion, rolling games of 235 and 211 in the final two contests after posting a 228 in game four.
Becca Claypool followed with a 1,058 series, demonstrating consistency throughout the block with all six games between 167 and 190.
Madison Esterline added a 1,018 total for the Wolverines, highlighted by a 203 performance in the final game.
Juanita Higgins completed the Michigan-Dearborn scoring with a 1,001 series, including a 197 in game five.
