Men's Bowling Takes Second at Falcon Classic
Nathan Roberts took home a top-10 finish after taking home sixth place at the Falcon Classic on Saturday (Nov. 22).
MONROE, Mich. -- The University of Michigan-Dearborn bowling program turned in several standout efforts at the Falcon Classic, highlighted by two top-10 individual finishes on the men's side and additional solid performances across the roster.
Sophomore Nathan Roberts led the Wolverines with a sixth-place finish, rolling a three-game total of 696 for a 232 average. Roberts opened with a 247 and followed with a consistent 246 before closing out the block with a 203 to secure UM-Dearborn's highest placement of the event.
Freshman Avery North joined him in the top 10, placing eighth after firing games of 254, 218, and 215 for a 687 series and a 229 average. North's opening 254 ranked among the strongest single-game performances of the tournament.
Rounding out the varsity scoring, Tommy Bain finished 36th with a 566 series (213-179-174), showing a strong start before closing out a steady block. Charles McSwain added a 374 across two games, including a 205 opener, while Tyler Kiroski posted a 358 over two games with efforts of 182 and 176.
The UM-Dearborn women's bowling team also turned in a competitive effort on Saturday, highlighted by several strong individual showings in a deep field. Makenzee Barthlow led the Wolverines with a steady three-game total of 589, good for a 196.3 average and a 17th-place finish overall. Barthlow opened with an impressive 233 and remained consistent throughout the block to anchor UM-Dearborn's scoring.
Alexandra Dasuqi delivered one of the day's top single-game performances for the Wolverines, firing a 219 in her second game to finish with a 394 two-game total. Freshman Lilliana Matatov added a solid 346 across her two games, including a strong 181 finish, while Morgan Frank contributed a 339 set to round out UM-Dearborn's top performers.
