Wolverine Bowling Competes at WHAC III Jamboree
The University of Michigan-Dearborn bowling teams faced a strong conference field Saturday at the WHAC III Jamboree, with the men finishing seventh and the women gaining valuable experience against top WHAC competition at 5-Star Lanes.
STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. -- The University of Michigan-Dearborn bowling teams were in action Saturday at the WHAC III Jamboree, hosted at 5-Star Lanes in Sterling Heights, Michigan, competing against conference opponents in both traditional and baker formats.
The men's team placed seventh out of 11 teams, recording a total pinfall of 5,556. The Wolverines delivered steady performances throughout the day, staying competitive in a crowded middle of the standings. In singles play, Cody Antrobius led UM-Dearborn with a three-game total of 600, while Thomas Bain followed with 584. Nathan Roberts added 573, helping keep the Wolverines within striking distance as they transitioned into baker competition.
On the women's side, UM-Dearborn finished ninth overall with a team total of 4,576 pins. The Wolverines showed improvement across the three traditional games before battling through a challenging baker block. Makenzee Barthlow posted the top singles total for UM-Dearborn, rolling a 552 series, while Juanita Higgins added 491. The Wolverines continued to develop chemistry and consistency against a deep WHAC field.
