The men's team finished 4th out of 18 teams on Sunday (Oct. 26).
CANTON, Mich. -- The University of Michigan-Dearborn bowling team wrapped up the first two American Heartland Bowling Association events. The men's team finished 6th out of 20 on Saturday and 4th out of 18 on Sunday. The women's team finished in 8th out of 17 on Saturday and 11th out of 14 on Sunday.
On Saturday, Kiroski finished 18th with a six-game total of 1225. Joshua Schunemann took 51st with a 990 total. Avery North was slightly behind in 54th after he rolled a 972 in five games. Tommy Bain was in 57th with a 956, and Nathan Roberts rounded out the Wolverines' day with a 948.
On Sunday, Tyler Kiroski led the men's team with a cumulative score of 630 over three games. In his second game, Kiroski achieved a high score of 235, propelling him to a top 15 ranking. Charles McSwain also secured a position within the top 20, finishing 18th with a total score of 626. Nathan Roberts rounded out the top 20 with a 623. Avery North concluded the Wolverines' performance with a 28th-place finish and a total score of 607.
In the women's competition, Becca Claypool secured a tenth-place finish with a total score of 1118. In her second game, Claypool achieved a score of 212, which propelled her to the tenth overall position. Makenzee Barthlow finished in 22nd place with a total score of 1061. She achieved this by rolling a score of 206 in her second game. Madison Bowen finished thirty-second with a total score of 1010. Madison Esterline, after rolling a score of 215 in her third game, secured a thirty-fifth-place finish. Alexandra Dasuqi rounded out the Wolverines' performance with a fifty-sixth-place finish, accumulating a total score of 859 for the day.
