Atfer an extensive search, the volleyball team has a new head coach - Eric Stark. Stark was an assistant coach for the Eastern Michigan Eagles from 2010-12. During his time there the team had the best turnaround in program history. In 2009 the Eagles were 5-28, and in 2010 they were 24-11. Eastern Michigan was never below .500 while Stark was there. Prior to joining the Eastern Michigan staff, Stark spent three seasons at Oberlin College. He was the assistant coach for two years and the associate head coach for one year. During that time, Oberlin's volleyball team broke nearly every team and individual record in their history. The team also finished one season with the most wins in a seaon and their best conference finish in school history.
Stark has also worked with youth volleyball players in camps and day clinics and has been coaching club volleyball for five years. He graduated from Bradley University with a BS in Environmental Science. A native of South Windsor, CT, Stark and his wife, Jennifer, now call Plymouth, MI home.
