LIVONIA, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's soccer team dropped a 4–0 decision to nationally ranked Madonna University on Saturday afternoon in WHAC action.
The Crusaders (12-1-1, 5-1-0 WHAC), ranked No. 23 in the NAIA, struck early when Hassan Alatooli converted just four minutes into the match off a pass from Daniel Watkins. Watkins doubled the lead before halftime with an unassisted strike in the 44th minute. Madonna added two more in the second half, with goals from Ryushin Hirami and Mason Winkel, to close out the scoring.
The Wolverines (1-8-1, 0-6-0 WHAC) fought hard defensively behind goalkeeper Mohammad Bader, who recorded six saves while facing 17 total shots. Dylan Clayton registered UM-Dearborn's lone shot on goal, while Salah Jallad, Diego Beaman, Michael Beskin-Diaz, and Liam Rodriguez each contributed to the Wolverines' six total attempts.
