ADRIAN, Mich. – October 1, 2025 – The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's soccer team put together a strong defensive performance through the opening half but couldn't hold off a late push, falling 2-0 to Siena Heights University on Wednesday evening in WHAC play.
After a scoreless first 45 minutes, Siena Heights broke through in the 70th minute when Tiago Moraes scored off a feed from Gustavo Famula. Moraes struck again in the 86th minute, doubling the Saints' lead and sealing the win.
The Wolverines generated 12 total shots, including five on goal, led by Noah Carmona, who tallied a team-high six attempts with three on target. Salah Jallad and Diego Beaman each added quality chances, while goalkeeper Mohammad Bader recorded two saves in the effort.
Michigan-Dearborn matched the Saints physically throughout, earning two corner kicks and battling through a chippy second half that featured multiple cautions on both sides.
With the result, the Wolverines move to 1-6-1 overall and 0-4-0 in WHAC play, while Siena Heights improves to 3-4-3 (2-1-1 WHAC).
