CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's soccer team hit the road Monday evening for a tough nonconference test against nationally-ranked Campbellsville University, falling 4-1 to the No. 14 Tigers.
Campbellsville struck early with a pair of goals in the opening five minutes, but the Wolverines responded quickly. Just 30 seconds after the Tigers' second goal, junior forward Talia List found the back of the net with an unassisted strike in the 6th minute to cut the deficit to 2-1. The tally marked UM-Dearborn's first goal of the 2025 season.
The Tigers, however, continued their first-half surge, adding two more goals in the 15th and 22nd minutes to build a 4-1 advantage at the break. Despite the early pressure, UM-Dearborn's defense tightened in the second half, holding Campbellsville scoreless over the final 68 minutes.
Freshman goalkeeper Julia Tasker turned in a strong performance under heavy fire, recording 14 saves on 18 shots on goal. Offensively, UM-Dearborn managed four total shots, with List and Nadia Saab each registering one on frame.
The Wolverines will be back in action on Tuesday (Aug. 26) as they take on Georgetown College at 4 pm.
