DEARBORN, Mich. – October 1, 2025 – The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's soccer team turned in a strong defensive effort on Tuesday afternoon but came up just short in a 1-0 loss to Siena Heights University in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play at Crestwood High School.
The Saints struck early, scoring the match's lone goal in the 9th minute as Chelsey Chambless converted on an unassisted chance to give Siena Heights a 1-0 advantage. Despite the early deficit, the Wolverines settled in defensively and limited the Saints to just one goal across 21 total shots.
Senior goalkeeper Julia Tasker had a standout performance in net, recording 12 saves, including several key stops in the second half to keep UM-Dearborn within reach.
Offensively, the Wolverines generated five total shots and three on goal, led by Vincia DeSantis, Jaymi Carmean, and Mallory Botten, who each recorded a shot on target.
With the result, UM-Dearborn moves to 1-8-2 overall and 0-3-1 in WHAC play, while Siena Heights improves to 4-4-3 (2-1-1 WHAC).
