FORT WAYNE, Ind. — The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's lacrosse team dropped a road contest to Indiana Tech, 24-8, on Saturday afternoon.
Indiana Tech set the tone early, scoring six goals in the opening quarter and maintaining that pace throughout the game to build a 12-4 halftime lead.
Michigan-Dearborn found offensive production across all four quarters, led by a strong performance from Cole Rosenwald, who recorded a hat trick. Garrett Kern added a goal and an assist, while Reece Rath and Charlie Woodcock each finished with a goal and an assist.
Dylan Thorpe facilitated the Wolverines' offense with a team-high four assists, contributing to multiple scoring runs throughout the contest.
The Wolverines showed resilience offensively, scoring eight goals against a tough Indiana Tech defense, including two man-up goals. Michigan-Dearborn also generated 23 shots and picked up 32 ground balls in the effort.
Indiana Tech controlled possession for much of the game, holding advantages in shots (71-23) and faceoffs (22-13), which proved to be key factors in the outcome.
