Wolverines Celebrate Senior Day with 15-9 Victory Over Siena Heights

DEARBORN, Mich. (April 25, 2026) — The University of Michigan-Dearborn lacrosse team delivered a strong second-half performance to secure a 15-9 win over Siena Heights on Senior Day Saturday afternoon at Crestwood High School.
After a slow start that saw UM-Dearborn trail 3-2 at the end of the first quarter, the Wolverines responded with a balanced offensive attack and tightened defensive play to take control of the contest. The Maize & Blue outscored Siena Heights 8-2 across the second and third quarters, turning a one-goal deficit into a commanding 10-5 advantage heading into the final frame.
UM-Dearborn found its rhythm in the second quarter, highlighted by goals from Cole Rosenwald, Aidan Meyers, and Garrett Kern. Rosenwald added a second tally later in the period, helping the Wolverines carry a 6-4 lead into halftime. The momentum continued into the third, where four unanswered goals—including man-up scores from Jeremy Fancett and Gabriel De La Paz—extended the lead.
Siena Heights attempted to mount a comeback in the fourth quarter behind a strong outing from Sean Jablonski, who finished with four goals, but the Wolverines matched each push. Goals from Kern, Eric Sanders, and Shane Marion in the final period helped UM-Dearborn maintain separation and close out the victory.
The Wolverines showcased offensive depth with 10 different goal scorers. Kern led the way with five points (2 goals, 3 assists), while Meyers added three points (1 goal, 2 assists). Rosenwald and Marion each contributed two goals, and De La Paz added a pair, both on man-up opportunities as UM-Dearborn went 4-for-5 with the extra-man advantage.
Defensively, the Maize & Blue controlled possession with a 46-33 edge in ground balls and won the faceoff battle 16-12. Zachary Berwald and Doc Reilly played key roles at the faceoff X, combining for 15 wins. In goal, Owen Reed earned the win with five saves over 45 minutes, while Daniel Acosta added one save in relief.
As a team, UM-Dearborn generated a season-high 52 shots and capitalized on Siena Heights turnovers, forcing 34 while committing just 24.
