NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's basketball team wrapped up its weekend road trip on Saturday with a 76-60 loss to Holy Cross College in nonconference action.
Junior Marissa Thomas turned in another standout performance, pacing the Wolverines with 26 points, nine rebounds, and three assists while shooting 8-for-15 from the field and 10-for-13 from the free-throw line. Bailey Stimac added a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, while Yasmeen Dabish provided an efficient spark off the bench, scoring eight points on 3-for-5 shooting.
After a slow start offensively, Michigan-Dearborn (2-3 overall) found its rhythm in the fourth quarter, putting up 22 points—its best scoring period of the game—but couldn't overcome Holy Cross' strong shooting night. The Saints (1-3) shot 43.1% from the floor and hit 11 three-pointers, led by Lilly Toppen with 14 points and Audrey Tallent, Sincere Coleman-Francis, and Allie Caldwell, who each added 11.
The Wolverines held a 37-44 rebounding margin and forced nine turnovers but were limited to 7.1% from beyond the arc (1-for-14).
